I'm feeling a mix of disappointment and excitement this month. On one hand, I'm missing out on KubeCon again this year, which means I won't be able to deliver my talk at the Cloud Native AI Day, a co-located event I was really looking forward to I.E."Effortless Scalability: Orchestrating Large Language Model Inference with Kubernetes" along with Joinal Ahmed. It's a significant event for our community, and not being there in person is a letdown. However, on the bright side, I've submitted my recoriding for 90DaysOfDevOps, focusing on the Art of DevOps. This recording, which I submitted this month, is something I'm eager for everyone to see.
Jumping into my first month at Cerbos has been an exhilarating ride, packed with engaging projects and collaborative efforts across the board. Diving headfirst, I had the opportunity to contribute to multiple projects, where I not only got to flex my technical muscles but also lent a hand to the marketing team with some of their latest launches. It's been a unique blend of engineering prowess and creative strategizing, making every day a new learning experience. In addition to these collaborative projects, I took the initiative to push the envelope on content creation, leading to the publication of three technical deep dive blogs that have sparked discussions and brought new insights to our audience.
The launch of the Technical Author Program, currently in beta, has been a personal highlight for me. It's designed to open up new avenues for content creation and bring diverse perspectives to our platform, engaging a select group of authors in our burgeoning community. On the integration front, I've been hands-on with various installations and Cerbos integrations, enhancing our marketing strategies with a solid foundation of engineering knowledge. Navigating the DevRel landscape at Cerbos has been both challenging and rewarding, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead. For more insights and updates on Cerbos, you can explore their blog and learn about their collaborative IDE features on Cerbos Hub’s Collaborative IDE page.
Meanwhile, there's a buzz of activity over at DevOpsCommunity.in, where the community has been sharing some incredibly insightful blogs. It's always inspiring to see the collective knowledge and experiences being shared there. Adding to the excitement, I'm also involved in organizing a new event in Thane with Grafana Labs. It's geared towards cloud-native observability and promises to be an engaging session with talks from seasoned experts. For more details on the event, you can check out the CNCF Thane community page.

Elon launched Groq - Smart move 😂
It seems there might be some confusion surrounding "Groq" and its association with Elon Musk. Groq is actually a company known for its innovative work in the AI chip space, distinct from any projects directly linked to Elon Musk. However, there's been some buzz around a new AI system named "Grok," which is associated with Elon Musk and his ventures. Grok is a conversational AI chatbot developed by xAI, initiated by Elon Musk, aiming to compete with other large language models like OpenAI's ChatGPT. Grok is designed to have a unique sense of humor and direct access to information from Twitter (now X), offering a fresh take on AI interactions.

Serverless Nuksaaan!!!
This guy be like: “When the digital world throws you a curveball, sometimes you've just got to chuckle. Imagine my surprise when Netlify sent me a bill for a whopping $104,500 for my humble static site. That's enough bandwidth to stream the entire library of online cat videos... twice! At first glance, I thought I'd become the unwitting star of a new internet prank show. But no, it was just a DDoS attack that decided my site was the next big thing.
Talking to Netlify's billing support was like stepping into a bazaar to haggle for a carpet. They checked the 'fine print' and discovered a horde of user agents were having a party on my site. Initially, they offered to let me off easy – just 20% of the bill, a mere $20,900. After a bit of back and forth, they said, "How about 5%?" That’s still $5,000 for those keeping score. But hold the phone – the CEO stepped in, cape billowing in the wind, to save the day with a proclamation: "Fear not, for you shall not part with a single penny!" And just like that, the bill vanished into the cyber ether. So here's a toast to the CEO – not all heroes wear capes, some just cancel enormous bills!”
