This month was so special for every Indian and so for me, I watched history happening before my eyes. We did the soft landing on the moon and before anyone else, YES! India is the first country to reach the south pole of the moon. Goosebumps were real at the time of landing on the moon.
I'm extremely proud and happy to announce that I'm now a Google Developer Expert (GDE) for Google Cloud technologies 🤩☁️
I came across the GDE program when I met amazing GDEs in India like Dharmesh Vaya, Kamesh Sampath, and Santosh Yadav their work motivated me to explore this program. The program has a nice step-by-step process where Kamesh Sampath GDE, and Joinal Ahmed ☁️ from Google helped me to apply it, Thanks for the support during the process 💜
What does it mean to be a Google Developer Experts GDE?

Hashicorp License Changed to BSL:
HashiCorp's move to BSL licensing will impact SaaS providers who rely on their open-source products, but not end users. The change may signal a shift towards more controlled and proprietary open-source software, potentially limiting the ability of companies to build competing services. Foundations such as the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) may play a role in regulating open-source licenses and fostering trust among users. The challenges faced by open-source projects in generating revenue and managing licensing issues may lead to further changes in the industry. What is OpenTF?
The OpenTF expresses concern over HashiCorp's switch of the Terraform license to the BSL and calls for the tool's return to an open-source license.
Two weeks ago, HashiCorp announced they are changing the license to all their core products, including Terraform, to the Business Source License (BSL). In an attempt to keep Terraform open source, OpenTF team published the OpenTF manifesto, and the community response was huge! Over 100 companies, 10 projects, and 400 individuals pledged their time and resources to keep Terraform open-source. The GitHub repository for the manifesto already has over 3.8k stars, and the number is growing quickly!
The manifesto outlined the intent of the OpenTF initiative in two steps — the first was to appeal to HashiCorp to return Terraform to the community and revert the license change they were making for this project. The second, in case the license was not reverted, was to fork the Terraform project as OpenTF.
If you are a member of the community, a member of the press, an employee of HashiCorp, or anyone else with questions or feedback to share, you can reach the team behind this manifesto by emailing us at pledge@opentf.org.
